- Clearing and Grubbing
- Removal of vegetation, topsoil, and unsuitable materials to prepare the site for construction works.
- Temporary Access Track Construction
- Establishment of a dedicated access track to maintain uninterrupted daily operations of the waste facility during construction.
- Bulk Excavation
- Excavation of existing material to achieve required subgrade levels in preparation for pavement construction.
- Ground Stabilisation and Rock Mattress Installation
- Installation of TX170 geogrid and A39 geotextile fabric, followed by placement of a 500mm thick rock mattress and capping layer to provide a stable foundation.
- Kerb and Gutter Construction
- Installation of approximately 320 metres of B1 upright kerb and gutter, founded on a 300mm thick no-fines concrete bedding layer.
- Pavement Construction
- Placement and compaction of subbase and base course materials using UTS equipped grader (Bounded Transport Specification) compliant gravels.
- Sealing Works
- Application of a two-coat bitumen seal to provide a durable wearing surface.
- The works delivered a robust, all-weather hardstand and upgraded internal road network, improving trafficibility, drainage, and operational efficiency of the facility while minimising disruption during construction.
